It's workers are very much a customer facing service complete with up-front sales to ongoing maintenance with the propertyyour customers now utilize as living space. It all ads up to the property manager needing high quality associates that your customers and tenants can rely on.
Hiring workers needs to be viewed as an investment into your company just as much as purchasing a property would be viewed as an investment in your financial books. Client facing workers even though they may or may not directly interact with your renters directly, their work will directly impact the rental customers. While there are many people who are physically capable of performing routine or even more advanced maintenance procedures, but there are some important differentiating factors that allow you to have more faith they employee will help you maintain overall brand experience.
Being able to rely on and have faith in somebody to do a job where they are working remotely, or in one of your customers living spaces goes a long way in creating loyalty and longevity of your tenants. So while there are many places to post for job openings, there are somce crucial items to ask for in being able to find that right kind of trustworthy employee.

2) Do they have multi-unitl/location experience?
3) Run a background check
4) Do they have integrity?
5) Do they have customer service experience?
Some of these items will be needed during the discovery and interview process. Since these kinds of employees may have access to company credit cards for supplies, a company vehicle, and may be working remotely, being able to trust your workers will eliminate many headaches down the road. Another idea is to have a trial period for the workers where their work and performance are determining factors on whether or not they are a good fit for your organization.
